BRIAN DELANO IS GUILTY

Certain documents have come to light, illuminating the lies of Bryan Delano.

I have uncovered a lie, something I need to expose...

Bryan Delano is not the ambitious man he claims to be.

Someone who doesn’t make enough to support themselves, who isn’t a reliable partner and at the end of the day is using the person they are in a relationship with. I am trying to support my friend Sara by showing her that her boyfriend is nothing more than a part-time, hourly employee of an IT shop that barely pays him.

You can see exactly who Bryan is-- a liar and an exaggerator.

But what should you do if you're in this position yourself?

Relationships can be difficult to navigate and it’s even trickier when trust is not part of the relationship. What do you do when your partner lies to you? How do you respond when you find out they have fabricated the very essence of their life?

Here are some steps you can take.

1. Call Them Out

Make sure to approach them in a calm, non accusatory manner, but be assertive. Let them know how you feel and that you found out about the lie.

2. Take Accountability

Relationships are a two way street. If your partner is lying to you, reflect on that. Try to understand why they felt the need to do that. You are a part of this partnership and try to understand where they are coming from.

3. Establish Boundaries

Tell your partner that this won’t be acceptable in the future. You want to help them establish a safe space for honest communication, but if they do it again things will need to end.

4. Know When to Say Goodbye

Finally, you need to know when the relationship is damaged beyond repair. If it is a pattern in their life it is time to walk away.

5. Help a Friend

This may be the hardest thing to do. Knowing when to help a friend get out of this situation. At the end of the day, all you can do is be there for them and hope that they have the ability to see through the lies the partner is telling them. Keep reminding them that you are there for them and that you can help them get out of this situation. A partner lying is not ok, under any circumstances and it’s natural to want to protect the people you love.

I wish I could do this for Sara. But until then...
